Our Women Group
In 2004 we have formed our first Microfinance Women Group. Together with the project facilitator Krishna and the project initiator Carla the women developed ideas for their business. The women group was funded with an initial capital of approximately 200$ dollars, this served to buy the ingredients for incense stick production and the stationary needed for the women’s enterprise. The women were taught basic entrepreneurial skills and empowered and motivated to take up their own business.
The Women Microfinance Group
This is our Microfinance women group on the day of the distribution of the certificates of attendance of our instruction course on how to successfully build up and run a small business. During the course we made all the arrangements for the incense producing business the women group subsequently set up and is now running successfully.
