Vision & Mission
We envision a future for Nepalese families that is characterized by opportunities to develop and grow; a future where deprived families are rewarded for their efforts to become financially self-sustainable and where they are encouraged to develop personal and intellectual skills to ensure the economic welfare of future generations. We endeavor to co-create a future where the deprived are given the chance to develop their own sources of revenue, where they are sustained in their endeavor to learn how to read, write and acquire the basic business skills they need to run their own small enterprises. Moreover, we envision a future where children get an opportunity to go to school and acquire the skills they need to make a living and sustain the intellectual and personal development of future generations. Our projects aim to transform the spiral that currently is pushing the deprived even more so into poverty, into a spiral that promotes economic and personal welfare for the deprived families.
Our mission is to turn our vision into reality by promoting microfinance projects for deprived women. By encouraging the poor to take up initiatives to become financially self-sustainable, StratMicrofinance Nepal endeavors to make a long-term sustainable contribution to the economic development and welfare of the deprived in Nepal. Our mission also includes educating and empowering women to effectively participate in economic and political life. We expect that in the long-term the initial project becomes self-sustainable and we can invest the money in new projects, teaching and guiding more women through the process of becoming successful and self-sustainable entrepreneurs. Furthermore, we aim to give our volunteers a truly valuable life and working experience and many good memories of Nepal. We hope they look back on their investment as a valuable and challenging life experience that has opened new horizons for them on a personal and professional level.
