Volunteering in Nepal is designed for individuals who have the thrive to expand, learn and experience new things in their lives. If you want to make a valuable contribution to the development of Nepal by helping the poorest strata of the population in their struggle to improve their standard of living, we would be delighted to welcome you on one of our volunteering programs. Do you want to give the children of deprived families in Nepal a chance to go to school and escape the poverty trap?. Then join one of our programs and help women to build up their own enterprises so that they can earn money and give their children an opportunity to get schooling and training, which allows the next generation to escape the poverty trap. During your volunteership you will have the opportunity to visit different places in Nepal and you will gain a deeper insight into Nepalese culture and improve your cross-cultural communication skills. Moreover, you will be able to put your skills into practice and get a sense of accomplishment by having actively contributed to the improvement of the living standard of the poorest. Our specialisation is the development of Microfinance projects targeting primarily women, which means that our volunteerships are predominantly in the area of Microfinance.

In collaboration with the Himalayan Environmental and Cultural Centre we also offer volunteerships in the area of Education, Ecology and Healthcare & Sanitation.

Our Microfinance Projects are suitable for both - individuals who have never worked in development management or studied development management before, as well as for individuals who are currently studying or have studied development management. Regardless of your background we are able to offer you a volunteering program that is customized to fit your requirements and skills. Basic business & project management skills and enthusiasm & motivation to help the deprived are enough to make a meaningful contribution to the microfinance project. Don't let yourself be put off by the term microfinance, you are not required to have studied development management or have any expertise in finance to participate in our programs. We welcome anyone who has the motivation to learn, share and make a contribution to the lives of the deprived.
